Robert Jay Harris II is a staff writer for the Express. This is his third semester writing for online school websites, but his second semester for the Express.
Robert enjoys covering sports, feature stories, or anything news-related. Ultimately, he loves writing and hearing what other people have to say. Robert is a storyteller, video gamer, and advocate for coffee people, and his favorite place to go is Starbucks. Robert loves writing books and plays scripts of his own. Robert gets his inspiration and passion for writing by creating the characters in his scripts and is a huge fan of Dick Wolfe and Tyler Perry. His favorite genres are crime, mystery, and fiction.
Robert enjoys writing ten-chapter books and has written a total of four so far, three books and one play script. Robert is thinking about publishing his works, but he mostly does it for his passion and love for writing, storytelling, and creation.
Robert recently completed his associate’s degree in journalism at City College in the fall semester of 2023 and has returned to the Express staff to gain more experience working as a journalist. Robert is majoring in communications and hopes to pursue a certificate of achievement in communications by completing City College’s program in applied communication skills.
